Mauro Dacasto completed most of his academic record at the University of Turin (Italy): graduated DVM in 1988, PhD in 1993, post-doc in 1994, Assistant Professor in 1995, and Associate Professor in 1999. Visiting scientist at INRA UR66, Toulouse (France), with fellowships from EAVPT (1994), CNR (1997, 1998), Italian Treasurer Ministry (1997), and OECD (1998). ECVPT Diplomate in 2002. In 2003, he moved to the University of Padua (Italy), and from 2014 he is Full Professor in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology.
His research topics are essentially represented by: (a) expression and regulation of drug metabolizing enzymes and drug transporters; (b) xenobiotic molecular and cellular toxicity; (c) veterinary oncology and cancer chemotherapy; (d) veterinary pharmacogenetics and toxicogenomics. Author or co-Author of 264 publications, i.e. 96 full papers, 11 short communications, 66 long abstracts, and 91 abstracts.
